BCOME an IKEMAN

When this BIgShirt IKEMAN was created, once again BCOMEs love for wordplays and Japanse was the inspiration for a unique and funny shirt.

イケメン ( pronounced = Ikeman) means in Japanese "cool good looking guy". Well, the 漢字 ( Kanji = Japanese characters) which were used for the design have got the same pronuncation but a totally different meaning:

池 = Ike = pond
面 = Man = surface

So actually these characters mean "pond surface" ... but together with male silhouette the association with "Ikeman", the cool looking guy, makes you smile (well, it is supposed to ;-)  ).

Aren't we all "Ikeman" and "Ikewoman" ?!

MIZUHIKI SHIRT

Since coming to Japan, I loved the so called Mizuhiki and always thought about using it in a modern way. During a competition I already used already a Mizuhiki design for creating a Japanese - XMas wrapping and took the first place with my idea.

Now that Summer is approaching, I thought that it would be nice to have a TShirt with a Japanese touch and used for that reason once again a Mizuhiki design.
