The fabric of a kimono for daily use, goes very well with the olive fabric and ready is a small bag with some Japanese touch.

It is already quite effective just to add a color spot with such a small pin (⌀ = 15mm + ⌀ = 20mm), made out of vintage Kimono fabric. Easy for daily use and not restricted to a certain type of style.

Coffee to-go is since a couple of years a world-wide phenomenon. Picking up a coffee before going to work, duiring the lunch brake, on a walk through town ... which is producing beside the fabolous convenience a lot of garbage. In order to enjoy an environmentally friendly coffee several maker beside coffee chain stores offer mugs in differents sizes. Some of them can be personalized by changing the paper inbetween the double walls of the mug.

The simplicity of the MUJI mug caught my eye and I thought that giving it a personal touch with a Kimono fabric cover would be a good 'Japanese' design approach. The possibilities are endless ( there is still a lot of fabric in the drawers !! ).

OBI-JIME BELT

Not just that I adore Japanese fabric, I am also in love with the so called Obi-Jime, the "thin belt" which one wears on top of the Obi (the "thick belt", to describe it badly).

Due to the fact that I am not wearing everyday my Kimonos, I thought that it would be nice to turn an Obi-Jime into a belt, so that I can wear it also with jeans and western skirts, dresses and pants, mixing again East and West.
